Christian "Chris" Baumann

Christian “Chris” Herman Baumann, 67, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Chris was born August 17, 1954 in Abilene, Texas. From the time they were small boys, Chris and his brothers spent their summers in Elberta on the home-place with their paternal grandmother, Mrs. Frieda Baumann. After graduating from high school in Hermitage, TN, in 1973, Chris returned to the home-place in Elberta and he lived there for the rest of his life. Chris enjoyed working Alms Pump Service for many years. Hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors were some of the things Chris enjoyed. He was always willing to help others when they needed it. He was a quiet, very kind man. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Herman Baumann and a grandniece, Emma Marie, age 5 ½. He is survived by his mother, Gertrude (Gertie) Baumann; brothers, Seth and Rudi; sister, Priscilla; nieces, Katie and Tabitha; uncle, John Dorn; aunts, Mary Ellen Dorn and Shirley Baumann; and many cousins. Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 4:00pm at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Elberta, AL.
