Charlotte May Befay age 95, a resident of Lillian, AL passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Charlotte was a Charter Member of Church of The Advent in Lillian, AL. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph V. Befay; son, Dennis Befay; and grandson, James John Befay, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, James (Trisha) Befay, Steven (Amy) Befay, Brian Befay; a daughter, Michele Loch all of Lillian, AL. A sister, Sue Thompson of WI; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

 Charlotte was a long-time resident of Lillian AL. She was instrumental in starting the Church of the Advent and the Twice upon a time thrift store that was a big part of Lillian for many years. Charlotte also volunteered for the Lillian Fire dept. bringing food and drinks to the fire fighters. She had many interests in life. Charlotte always had a great imagination and wanted to try all the craft projects, she also loved to sew and garden. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends and is now on a new journey. We would like to thank her family at the Advent for the cards and many prayers over the years. We would also like to send a special thank you to her nurses Chris, Leslie and Phillip for their excellent care and support over the years as well many friends and neighbors.
