Charles Henry Wilkins

Charles Henry Wilkins, age 58, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Charles grew up in Bay Minette, AL and was a graduate of Bayside Academy Class of 1981. He was a talented athlete, excelling in soccer and basketball, and was elected into the Bayside Hall of Fame. Charles graduated from the University of Santa Fe in New Mexico and worked in the IT industry. He enjoyed his friends, family, and was passionate about the University of Alabama football. Roll Tide! Charles lived a colorful life, and he lived life to its fullest in every way. He was loved by many. He is survived by his parents, Taylor “Red” and Judy Wilkins of Bay Minette; sister, Elizabeth Wilkins of Fairhope; brother, Taylor (Julie) Wilkins III also of Fairhope; nephew, Taylor Wilkins IV (Tate); and many other extended relatives and longtime friends. The family will celebrate Charles’ life privately with a graveside memorial service at the Wilkins family cemetery, Saluda Hill in Bromley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Charles’ name to the North Baldwin Animal Shelter in Bay Minette, Alabama.
