Charles Lee Mullenix, Jr.

Charles Lee Mullenix, Jr. of Fairhope, Alabama (formerly Birmingham, Alabama) passed away peacefully and was reunited with family and friends on March 31, 2023. He led an exemplary life as a Christian husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Charles is preceded in death by his wife (Gelene Clement Mullenix), his mother (Grace Shirley Mullenix), his father (Charles Lee Mullenix), along with (5) brothers (Howard, Dallas, Hillard, Hilton, Giles) and (1) sister Ila Dean (Mullenix) Donaho. He is survived by his sons Charles Lee Mullenix III and Christopher Dee Mullenix, daughter- in laws Marlana (Messer) Mullenix, and Jamie Ullock Mullenix. He is also survived by (6) Grandchildren (Charie Mullenix Parler, Charlee Gelene Mullenix, Christopher Dalton Mullenix, Christina Danielle Mullenix, Marley Marie Ullock and Miles Christian James Mullenix) and (2) great grandsons (“C.J.” Parler, and Cameren Lee Parler) and a host of nieces and nephews. He led a life of servitude and grace for his family and friends. He was always willing to help with his time, talents and money to anyone in need. He leaves a big hole in our hearts and lives but heaven is a better place today. After 25 years he is reunited with the true love of his life, as they stroll the pearly gates together again, never to be separated. He fought the good fight and he has won. Until we meet again we love you “Grampy” and we will honor your legacy through our lives and you will not be forgotten. John 16:22 Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 1:00pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the “National Melanoma Research Foundation”. “Grampy” as he was affectionately known, will be missed by so many, yet we take comfort in the fact that he has been reunited with his wife and family members who have already joined our Lord and Savior in eternal happiness.
