Charles Montz, resident of Robertsdale, passed away on Friday October 28, 2022. He was 76. He was a selfless, humble, and faithful follower of Christ who leaves a remarkable legacy of generously giving to others and graciously loving his family and friends. A faithful and humble donor to his church, missions, and a multitude of other charities and community services. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Faye Myrick Montz, his parents Merrill and Eula Montz, brother, Curtis Montz. He is survived by his son, Chris (Tammy) Montz and daughter, Niki (Roy) Whitaker, grandchildren, Hunter (Danielle) Montz, and Whit Whitaker, step grandchildren, Lola, Maddie, and Nathan (Noel) great granddaughter, Clara Montz Sister, Mildred Montz Capps. Charles Montz worked a 51-year career in the optical business. He retired in 2015. In 1995, he founded Wholesale Optical Supply Inc., a lab that served the Southeast. He is a member of First Baptist Church Robertsdale and former President of Hub City Lions Club. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022, at 2:00pm at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, AL. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 30 from 5:00–7:00 PM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, AL. Interment will immediately follow in Memory Gardens in Fairhope, AL. Memorial donations may be made to CARE House, the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center where his daughter serves as the Executive Director or First Baptist of Robertsdale.
