Charles Michael Smith, a long-time resident of Fairhope, and native of Albertville, Alabama, passed away on January 15, 2025.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Charles Sherrill Smith, and his mother, Norma Jean Jarvis Smith, and other relatives, all of Marshall County, Alabama. He is survived by his beloved wife Suzanne Paul, his cousin Connie (Paul) Abrahams, his sister-in-law Ellen (Parke) Stringfellow and nieces Sara Anne Stringfellow and Meredith Coleman Stringfellow.
Mike was a graduate of Douglas High School, Auburn University and the University of Alabama School of Law. He was a founding partner of the law firm of Paul and Smith, P.C., where he practiced law for 42 years in Mobile. An avid football fan, he was a member of the Baldwin County Red Elephant Club and an ardent supporter of the Crimson Tide.
Mike loved living his life in Fairhope, where he considered each new day a wonderful gift, and each of his friends and relatives a special blessing.
