Charles Eustace Hill, III, 83, Orange Beach, Alabama passed away on July 27, 2018. He was born in Troup County, Georgia, on December 8, 1934. He was the youngest child of the late Charles Eustace Hill, Jr. and Irene Strickland Hill. Charles graduated from Valdosta High School, Valdosta, Georgia in 1952. He attended Valdosta State College for 2 years, then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for 3 years achieving the rank of Airman First Class. He then attended Georgia Institute of Technology graduating with a degree in industrial management in 1960. He played football, and was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity while at Georgia Tech. He worked for Dupont Corporation from 1960-1976 living inCamden, SC, Chattanooga, TN, Waynesboro, VA, and Wilmington, DE. Desiring to return to the Southeast, he began working for Genesco, Inc. in Nashville, TN. He then pursued entrepreneurial endeavors until his retirement in 2003. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hunting quail with his beloved English setters. A long time resident of Brentwood, Tennessee, he was a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church, Brentwood Country Club, and Brentwood Men’s Golf Association. He was also a member of Gulf Shores United Methodist Church, Gulf Shores, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Nell Newman Hill and his sister Barbara Irene Nicas. He is survived by his two sons, Andrew of Lighthouse Point, FL; Christopher of Leesburg, VA; a daughter Laura Born of Oxford, AL; and eight grandchildren: Delaney and Sophia Hill; Ryleigh Phillips; Kent and Katie Hill, Emily Crain; Trey and Tyler Rigsby. The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, Monday, July 30, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm A memorial service will be held at Gulf Shores United Methodist Church, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 11:00 am. Internment will be held at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
