Charles Dennis Bryant Age, 79, a native of Mount Hope, W.V., and a resident of Daphne, AL passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2019 at his home. Mr. Bryant was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he proudly served his country for twenty-one years in the U.S. Air Force, he attended the University of Maryland and was a graduate of Athens State University. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force he worked as a technical writer for U.S. Government Contractors ,after his retirement from there he worked as an election commissioner for Rankin County, MS. In 2007 he and his wife moved to Daphne, AL to be near their family. He enjoyed writing and was a member of the Penster’s Writing Group, his love for volunteering included the Prodisee Food Pantry and the Fairhope Public Library, he was an dedicated member of Spanish Fort United Methodist Church and very grateful for the Bread of Life Christ Care Group. Mr. Bryant is preceded in death by a brother, David Patterson Bryant and two sisters, Carol Lee Hill and Cheryl Canady. Survivors include his wife of thirty-one years, Linda Hardin Bryant of Daphne, AL; four sons, Herbert Timothy Bryant of Las Vegas, NV, Austin D. ( Chris) Bryant of Kailua, HI, David Michael ( Dawn) Bryant of Blountsville, AL and Lloyd Chanders (Lisa) Garrison, III of Spanish Fort, AL; one sister, Margaret A. (Bill) Coomer of Henderson, KY; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren other relatives and friends. A celebration of Mr. Bryant’s Life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:00am at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00am until time of the service.
