Charles E Black, a resident of Fairhope, AL, died Wednesday, April 4th, at his home. He was 80. A native of Mobile, AL, Black served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Master Chief from the U.S. Coast Guard. Retiring at 42, he spent every day possible fishing at the Fairhope Pier, catching every mullet and flounder the bay had to offer. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Black; children, Carrie Jennings, Charles David Black, Deidra Hanak, Stacy Marshall, and Kimberly Baggett.; brother, Daryl Black; sisters, Virginia Dent, Juanita Rogers, Emily Helveston, Elaine Reaves, Charlene Tucker, Cheryl O'Gwynn, and Joy Taylor; and many nieces, nephews, grand-children, and great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be set at a later date. Memorial contributions is requested to be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
