Catherine Childress Little

Catherine Childress Little, age 89, a resident of Barnwell, AL, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. 

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Emery Childress and Ellen Belle Lowell Childress; husband, William “Pee Wee” Little; sons, Jerry Wayne Little and Larry Kenneth Little; son-in-law, Ronald Albert Bishop’, brothers, Tweed Childress, Fuller Childress, John Rix Childress. 

She is survived by her children, Boyd (Gay) Little, Glenda Little Bishop, Gloria (Kenny) Pierce, Laura Little, Marva Dean Little; 14 grandchildren, Tiffiny (Randal) LeDrew, Chad (Heather) Little, Christy Bishop, Michelle (Mike) McConnell, Veronica Bishop, Ron (Caroline) Bishop, Kendra Pierce, Carrie (Nick) Walsh, Jeremy (Brittany) Little, Ashley (John) Frick, Catie (Todd) Dueker; Heith (Allison) Little, Marissa (Corey) Swindle, Lance (Hannah) Little, 28 great-grandchildren, Taylor (Devon), Hagan, Pierson, Hunter (Drake), Bayleigh (CJ), Greyson, Michael, Clayton, Maddie, Kennedy, Avery, Landon, Kelsi, Will, Annie Kate, Junior, Jayce, MacKenzie, Gracie, Jackson, Dottie, Peyton, Ethan, Crawford, Madisyn, Connor, Brody, Ben, Leslie, William;

sisters, Jeannette Whisenant, Lois (Ross) Layton; brother, Floyd (Pamela) Childress; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be held from the Barnwell Baptist Church, Friday, November 26, 2021, at 11:00am.  The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until the service time. 

Interment will follow in Brook-Cedron Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that donations be made to the Barnwell Baptist Church.
