Carolyn Frances Engman, age 79, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away on April 11, 2021.
Carolyn loved her furry canine friends throughout her life, and in recent years adopted a series of rescue dogs and cared for them tenderly. The home she shared with her husband Lloyd houses a flock of happy fluffy dogs who otherwise would have been homeless. She was a wonderful cook who continued to bring new dishes into her repertoire throughout her life, including Lebanese dishes she had learned from that community in Birmingham. Anyone invited to dinner at Carolyn’s was in for a treat. Carolyn also loved art in all its forms – paintings, pottery, carvings, jewelry, textiles – and delighted in the beauties of nature as well. She was a beautiful, generous, loving spirit who will be sorely missed.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lloyd Engman of Fairhope; sons, Jeffrey Kevin Goggans of Westchester, OH, Brian Scott Goggans of Birmingham; step son, Ernest Engman (Elizabeth) of Oakridge, TN, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to A Place of Hope Small Dog Rescue (formerly Floribama Small Dog Rescue): www.aplaceofhoperescue.com
