Carol Jane Drayton

 SILVERHILL, AL.

 Carol Jane Drayton, Age 69, born in Memphis, TN., and a resident of Silverhill, AL, was welcomed into Glory by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 26, 2024 at a local hospital after a brief illness. 

 Carol was a loving wife, mother and friend. She was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church, a graduate of Mississippi University for Women and Mississippi State University. Carol was a gardener, and loved cooking, reading, and ceramics.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lucy Burnam. 

Carol is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 36 years, Edward Drayton, of Silverhill, AL; her loving son, Christopher Drayton of Fairhope, AL; two brothers, Warren (Renee) Burnam of McLean, VA, and John (Leslye) Burnam of Hattiesburg, MS; and many other relatives and friends.

 Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope at 11:00am. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00am until time of the service.

A private inurnment service will  be held at a later date.
