Cameron Matthew Carlson, age 62, a resident of Loxley, AL., passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019. He was born at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. He graduated from Pensacola Christian High School in 1975, where he was a star athlete; then attended Mississippi College in Clinton, MS., where he played varsity baseball. Cameron was a loving husband, son, an amazing father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin. He was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed family gatherings. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Carlson of Loxley; children: Ashleigh Carlson of Philadelphia, PA, Megan Carlson of Atlanta, GA., and Taylor Carlson of Fairhope; stepchildren: Mia Muench of Foley, Jake Richey of Daphne, and Cole Richey of Daphne; grandchildren: Aubrey Anne Carlson, Karlie Jean Carlson, and Sonny Grace Mervine; mother, Jean Schill Carlson of Fairhope; brothers, Mark Carlson of Madison, MS and Danny Carlson of Mobile; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time.
