Brenda Hale

d. February 5, 2021

Brenda Dawn Hale went home to Jesus on February 5th, 2021 at age 56. Brenda was born to Donald and Peggy Rogers in July 1964 at Community Memorial Hospital in Ayer, MA. As a child, Brenda loved to draw and paint with her mother, Peggy, she loved to play with her three sisters, she loved to read and play the piano. She moved with her family at an early age to Wilmington, DE, and moved again to Bad Soden, Germany during her middle school years. During their time abroad, she traveled throughout much of Europe with her family. This opportunity gave her a wonderful multi-cultural understanding that she used effectively in her future careers as she served others. Her family moved back to Wilmington during her High School years, and she graduated from AI DuPont High School in 1982. Brenda attended David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN and later graduated with high honors from VA Tech University with an undergraduate degree in "Hotel Management". After graduation, she managed a B&B in the historic town of New Castle, DE. In 1997, she moved to beautiful Daphne, Alabama. In 2006, she graduated with high honors from University of Alabama earning her master’s degree in "Dietetics". She became a Registered Dietician and a "Certified Diabetes Educator" in 2008, achieving her dream/vision as she desired to incorporate her life experience as a Type 1 diabetic in order to help and serve others. She did just that! Brenda met her husband, Tom Hale, at Spanish Fort Church of Christ. They married on July 4th, 2007. In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, Brenda also loved family and church fellowship, cooking, exercise, writing cards, reading her Bible, painting, traveling and playing with her dog, “Bailey”. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Brenda joins her beloved father, Donald Burl Rogers, her grandmothers, Jane Esther Leaverton and Bertha Louise Rogers, and her grandfather, Clyde Henry Rogers in Heaven. She is survived by her husband Tom, mother Peggy Jane Rogers, sisters; Donna (Wayne) Darner, Cindy Pence, Lorie (Craig) Joyner, nieces; Kristin, Rachael, Rebecca and Madison, nephews; Ryan, Richard and Christopher, step-daughters; Amy (Casey) Melton and Ashley (Matt) Hasley, step-son; Brian (Lindy) Hale, six grand-nieces, one grand-nephew and seven step-grandchildren. There will be a “Celebration of Life” service at Spanish Fort Church of Christ on Saturday, February 20th. The visitation will be at 10:00 am and the service at 11:00 am. Your presence will be a blessing to her! In lieu of flowers, Brenda’s family would appreciate donations to the “Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation”. You can find this information at www.jdrf.org/diabetes/foundation. We hope these favorite scripture verses of hers will bless your day! "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31 “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book” Psalm 56:8
