Bradley Lawrence Cobb, beloved and adored son of Dolores (Dee) McLaughlin of Foley and the late Winston R. Cobb of Montgomery, passed after a three week fight for his life on October 21, 2021 in Foley, Alabama where he has resided since 2004. He is preceded in death by his father, Winston R. Cobb; grandfather, John W. Cobb; grandfather, Lawrence J. McKinley, Sr.; grandmother, Louise McKinley Dixon; stepfather, Donald F. McLaughlin; uncle, Lawrence Jackson (Jack) McKinley and other loved and missed family members. Brad is survived by his mother, Dolores (Dee) M. McLaughlin; beloved sister, Lisa (Ken) C. Owens; long-time childhood and best friend, John G. Griggs; and numerous other relatives. He will be missed by many friends, neighbors and co-workers. Brad was born on April 4, 1962 to Winston and Dolores Cobb at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama where he grew up. From the day he was born, he brought us joy, happiness and laughter. Our world will never be the same without him. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School, Brad was a business major at AUM and Troy Montgomery. He worked in the restaurant business which many times took him out of state so we were all happy when he went into the retail business and was able to move closer to us. He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his youth, he loved to play tennis and chess, and these are activities he continued to enjoy. He was a life-long student of military history, particularly the Civil War and World War II. Brad had a great sense of humor and was known for this witty and quick one-liners and this is something we will all miss. I love you my b’brother. A celebration of Brad’s life will be held on October 30, 2021. The family will begin to receive friends at 2:00 pm at the Fairhope chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. A service honoring Brad will follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel. There will be a gathering time after the service for friends and family.
