Bobbie Rose Caruthers

SPANISH FORT, AL We are sad to announce the passing of Bobbie Rose Caruthers, a resident of Westminster Village Spanish Fort, AL at the age of 85 on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Carlton Caruthers of Spanish Fort, their daugther Lisa Pigott (Chris) of Bogalusa, LA, and her grandson Gerald Milton (Rachel), and great-granddaughter Aria Milton. Bobbie is also survived by her brothers L.D. York (Barbara) and William Dow York (Carol); and her sister Willa McCord. She was preceded by her parents LD and Hattie York; brothers Alvin C York and J.C. York (June); and sister June Staten. Bobbie loved teaching kids and spent over 41 years serving others in education and community services, she was a lover of growing and showing award winning roses with her husband Carlton of over 64 years, but her true love was spending time with her grandson Gerald who was the apple of her eye. The family will receive friends at Westminster Village, Spanish Fort, Saturday, May 13 at 10:00 AM. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers Bobbie requests donations to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) or St. Labre Indian School (stlabre.org).
