Beverly Fine Hayes passed away peacefully at home Sunday July 10, 2022. Beverly was born on April 12, 1936 in Newport, Cocke County, Tennessee. She was predeceased by her parents, Georgia Mae and Charles Fine, her beloved husband of 44 years, Michael James Hayes, and her nephew Dr. Robert E. “Mickey” Finch. She is survived by four nieces: Mrs. Kathleen Burnthall (Steve) of Alpharetta, Georgia, Mrs. Becky Cornelius of Daphne, Mrs. Rachel Fenske (Matt) and Mrs. Monica Gross (David), both of Mobile, and many great nieces,nephews and numerous friends. Beverly was a devoted, very active parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church, Daphne, who served Our Lord in many ways, for many years. She was an essential member of the office staff at Christ the King for 20 years; a founding member of the Vocations Committee; a volunteer at the Christ the King Parish library; a leader in annual Catholic Charities campaigns for over 20 years; a regular volunteer at Mercy Medical for 18 years, and an active volunteer at Little Sisters of the Poor for 12 years. She was a ProLife advocate, who volunteered at 2B Choices for Women for 15 years and praying the Rosary weekly at an abortion-providing place for 5 years until it closed. She will be greatly missed by her family, her many friends and her fellow parishioners. Thanks to all of Beverly’s caregivers, especially Vernesha, Megan, Faith, Donna, and the Gracepoint staff. The funeral Mass for Beverly will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00am and Visitation at 10:00am at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Belforest Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory to St. Michael Catholic High School, Fairhope, Alabama.
