Betty Louise Alms

ALMS ELBERTA, ALABAMA Betty Louise (Scales) Alms, age 85, a native of Indianapolis, IN, and a resident of Elberta, AL passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019. Betty was a graduate of Foley High School Class of 1953. She was a faithful member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Elberta, and was involved in the Sunday school for 38 years as Treasurer.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Louis Alms, and a daughter Cynthia Dawn (Alms) Moore. Survivors include her children, John R. (Jackie) Alms, James M. (Latricia) Alms, David E. Alms, all of Elberta, AL,; sisters, Jo Ann Scales Kichler, Meta D. McCombs (Warren) Alms, both of Elberta, AL.; brothers, Bob (Charletta) Scales, Bill (Becky) Scales both of Louisville, KY;eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Monday, October 14, 2019 at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.  Interment will follow in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery, Elberta, AL.
