Barbara Marie Krouse

Barbara Krouse (Hrynio), age 74, died peacefully at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital on July 30, after a short battle with cancer. Barbara was born in Utica, New York, to Steven Hrynio and Mary Buschor. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1967 and married Richard Krouse in 1968. When Barbara moved to Lillian, Al, in 2005, she worked at United Bank for a number of years and became a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and volunteered a lot of her time with fellow members who became her friends. While she enjoyed her trips to Biloxi, she loved to cook and care for all her boys most of all; they were the centerpiece of her life. Her friends and family will sorely miss her presence in their lives. Barbara is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard; her sons, Richard (Alyson), John (Kristie); grandsons, Trevor and Tyler; cousin, Kathy Testa (Nick); and niece, Debbie Lavallee (Steve); and many other loving relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 3rd, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lillian, Alabama, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will follow the Mass at Prince of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Elberta, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Covenant Care Hospice at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
