Aubrey Morgan Tarpley

Aubrey Morgan Tarpley, 93, of Foley, Alabama, formerly from Birmingham and Wylam, moved on to his reward Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Aubrey was born August 15, 1924. He was preceded in death by his parents R.A. and Fannie “Sissie” Tarpley and his first wife Mary Jo Sayers and second wife Norman Jean Tilley. He will be missed by his daughter Jan and son-in-law Jeff Sutherland, cousins, church family and friends. His dedication to his Lord was evident in his service to Wylam, Pelham and Vernant Park Baptist churches and the Gideon’s International. In the last months of his life he was still leading daily devotions at Live Oak Village. He fought the good fight. He finished strong. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Vernant Park Baptist Church Cemetery. Service will be led by Pastors Bill Stephens and Andy McClellan.
