Ashley Wayne Fleming

On August 6, 2021, Ashley Wayne Fleming "Poppie" left his family and friends for his eternal home. A resident of Fairhope, AL, he was born Dec 18, 1950 to Sol L Fleming, Jr and Olivia Mills Fleming, who preceded him in death. His wife Judy, family and friends celebrate the time they were given with him, as his kindness and generosity touched each who knew him in such a special way. His words, actions, patience, and service were reflective of the Lord he loved, and they rejoice that his health is fully restored in Heaven. His grandchildren will fondly remember him in his suspenders and straw hat, anxious to share his passions for riding, farming, shooting, and music. Ashley is survived by Judy, his wife of 30 years, his stepchildren, Joey Cornelius (Dawn), Linda Sansom (Jon), David Cornelius (Misty), and Shannon Wade, 13 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Lee Fleming (Cheri), Tracy Fleming (Tina), Pat Fleming (Julia), sister, Allison Tangeman (Dennis), nieces and nephews. Ashley was a veteran of the US Navy, and worked as a registered nurse until his retirement. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling, service, and his church small group. Burial was at US Veterans Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL on Aug 19th. Ashley's life will be celebrated at City Hope Church in Daphne, AL on Saturday, Sept 25.
