Annell Beckum King, 88, a native of Louisville, GA and a long-time resident of Baldwin County, passed away peacefully at Acts Westminster village on Monday, August 2, 2021.
Annell’s passions were her family, friends, and golf. Nell, as her friends call her, played golf for 57 years until the age of 85.
She won many tournaments with her precision putting. Nell was a proud member of the LFLGA and a devoted member of Eastern Shore Baptist Church.
Nell was preceded in death by her parents, William Lee and Annie Myrtise Joiner Beckum; and her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Jimmy King.
Annell is survived by her son, Douglas Mark Kennedy, of Mobile, daughter, Lesa Kennedy (Randy) Loftis, of Daphne, and four cherished grandchildren, Lindsey (Sean) Mahony of Satusuma; Hunter Loftis of Daphne, Erin (Jan) Kaempfer of Germany; and Clark (Morgan) Kennedy of Atlanta; eight beautiful great-grandchildren, Brenden, Lilly Louise and Hampton Mahony, Landry Loftis, Hildie and Layla Kaempfer, Woods and Wren Kennedy; two nieces, Gail Willem, of Aiken, SC and Anne (Tom)Hastings, of Chapel Hill, NC.
The family will have private graveside services with Dr. Stuart Davidson of Eastern Shore Baptist Church officiating.
