Ann Nichols, age 92, a native of Mobile, Al and a resident of Spanish Fort died at Westminster Village on January 18th, 2019. Ann was the Mystic of Time’s Queen for their annual Mardi Gras ball in 1950 and was the first queen to lead the annual parade in a snazzy convertible. She met her loving husband, Jack, shortly afterwards and they spent a great life living and traveling all over the world including New York, Trinidad, Japan, New Jersey, Europe and Illinois before retiring in Daphne, Al in 1989. Ann and Jack were active in the Baldwin Senior Travelers, Christ the King Parish, Friends of the Daphne Public Library, volunteering at Thomas Hospital and Lake Forrest Country Club. Jack passed away in 2009. Ann and Jack are survived by three children: Jack (Laurie) Nichols, Mary Ann (Bob) Barca, and Gina (Brian) Collins; Six grandchildren: David (Mariah), Jeanna (Rusty), Brian, Bob, Greg (Nancy) and Adam; and five great grandchildren: Ryan, Averi, Tilda, Roger and Arlo. These family members are from all over the country including Alabama, Illinois, Oregon, Michigan, New Jersey and New York. A private family funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 23rd at Pine Crest in Mobile. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Little Sisters of the Poor at 1565 McGill Ave, Mobile, Al 36604.
