Angelo Joseph Gent

GENT ELBERTA, ALABAMA Angelo “Dago” Joseph Gent, age 85, a resident of Elberta, AL., passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 26, 2017. Angelo retired from the US Air Force and Federal Protective Service having more than 40 years of combined service to his Country. During his Military service, he served in the Korean War and Vietnam. Angelo enjoyed nature traveling the Country visiting National Parks and spending time with family and friends. Angelo was an avid angler, enjoyed reading and photography. Dago will be remembered for his quick wit, devotion to family and willingness to help a friend in need. Preceded in death by his son, Angelo Joseph Gent, Jr.  Angelo is survived by his wife; Marie C. Gent , two daughters; Theresa (Robert) Freitag, Anna (Kendrick) Cochran and his son Thomas (Ann) Gent, seven grandchildren; Angie, Robert, Emily, Leston, Lenwood, Cate, and Liam,  ten great grandchildren; Felix, Sophia, Madeline, Landen, Shelbie, Sienna, Autumn, J.K., Malachi and Rosalie. nieces , nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, Monday, October 30, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Graveside service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11:00am.
