Alvertia "Al" West

Alvertia “Al” West, a longtime resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the age of 71. He worked at Radcliff Materials, Dravo, was co-owner of Blastech, and also co-owner of Fairhope Ready Mix, Inc. with Mike McNeil. Preceding him in death was his wife of 43 years, Tomi Myrick West; his parents, John I. and Syvelia West; siblings, Robert West, Lula Mae Hester, Alvin West, Debra Andrews and Janice Stockman. He is survived by his daughters, Amanda (Ray) Bryan and Kara West (Heath Boothe), all of Fairhope; grandchildren, Rayleigh Bryan, Kaden Norrell, Ian Bryan, Myrick Bryan; his fur baby, Pudge; sister, Merlene Bryan (Billy Ray); brother, Harvey West; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Rawson and Pamela Weaver; brother-in-law, Joe Ulrich, and many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 2:00pm. Visitation will begin at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Brook-Cedron Cemetery.
