DAPHNE Robert Lee “Bob” Brantley, age 80, a native of Brewton, and a resident of Daphne, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010. Bobby was a Korea War Veteran and served on the LST 1084 in Korean waters, which during the retreat of the United Nations Forces, the LST 1084 beach in North Korea and evacuated hundreds of American soldiers. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Anita Maples Brantley, son, Glenn Brantley, both of Daphne, daughter, Janet Lynn White and her husband Phillip of Mobile,granddaughters, Brianna and Katie Belle Everett, brother, Billy Brantley and his wife Elizabeth of Fairhope, sisters, Raycelia Webb and her husband Ronnie of Mobile, Mary Elizabeth Sever and her husband Ron of Spanish Fort,Addie Marie Pierce and her husband Franklin of Semmes, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, Monday, November 1, 2010, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
