William Clement Scott

FAIRHOPE , AL William Clement Scott, age 89, a native of Westfield , New York and a long time resident of Fairhope , AL , passed away peacefully at his home , Monday, October 25, 2010.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cullen Scott.  He was a member of St. Francis at the Point Episcopal Church. In his high school days he became an Eagle Scout.  After high school, with World War II looming, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard where he became a Chief Petty Officer.  Mr. Scott retired from Brookley Air Force Base and was an independent electrician for many years on the Eastern Shore . Survivors include his children, Diane Scott McKenzie (Thomas) of Alexandria , LA , Joseph William Scott (Abbye) of Fairhope, William Cullen Scott (Tonya) of Fairhope, Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister, Eleanor Scott Brandon of Fairhope. Graveside services and burial will be Friday, October 29, 2010, at 10:00 am, at Me m ory Gardens of Fairhope.  Visitation will be Thursday, October 28, 2010, between 5pm – 7pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
