FAIRHOPEThomas E. “Tommy” Dyer, Jr., age 63, a native and longtime resident of Fairhope, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010.Tommy was a Vietnam Veteran, a life member of the VFW, a member of the American Legion Post 199, 40/8, and the Fairhope Elks Lodge No. 1879. He was a graduate of Fairhope High School in 1965. After completing his tour in Vietnam, he graduated from Livingston College. Tom managed then owned Gulf Coast Molasses Co., Inc. for 20 years. He is survived by his parents, Ted and Louise Dyer of Fairhope, sister, Martha Rejczyk and her husband Mike of Fairhope, niece, Gail Walley and her husband Matt, two nephews, Matthew and Andrew Walley, girl friend, Pat Howard, many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at 3:00pm.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00pm until service time.Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the University of South Alabama, Mitchell Cancer Institute, Office of Development, 307 University Blvd. N.
