Janice Weed Owens

DAPHNE Janice Weed Owens passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010 in Robertsdale at the age of 77. She was a native of Goshen, AL, a resident of Daphne and member of Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Owens met her beloved husband, Jene, at Troy University and later married him in Troy, AL in 1951. She and her husband relocated to Daphne in 1968 where they raised their family. Mrs. Owens will be missed by all the family and friends that knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jene W. Owens of Daphne; a daughter, Deborah Owens (Dan) Boone of Fairhope; two sons, Darren K. (Darlene) Owens of Daphne, Jene W. (Stephanie) Owens, Jr. of Mobile; brother, Gerald Weed of Prattville; six grandchildren, Katie Boone of Fairhope, Daniel Boone of New York City, NY, Dalton Owens, Brianna Owens, both of Daphne, Chandler Owens, Graham Owens, both of Mobile and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 12-1:00 pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm from the the funeral home chapel.
