Nancy Nelson

MICHIGAN On October 12, 2010, Mrs. Nancy Nelson passed away in Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, Michigan . She was 79 years old. Mrs. Nelson was a native of Montrose Michigan , lived in Fairhope , Alabama as a resident since 1948, and after the loss of her husband, she moved back to Montrose , Michigan with her daughter and son-in-law. Mrs. Nelson retired from South Central Bell after 26 years of service where she was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. aux. She was also a member of St. John Evangelist Episcopal church in Robertsdale , Alabama . Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, Pepper Nelson, her parents, Curtis & Norma McNally, her brother, Curtis McNally, her son, Marty Nelson and his wife, Gloria (Ski) Nelson, and her beloved grandson, Michael Lee Wiggins. She is survived by her daughter, Noni and husband Hank Stafford Montrose, Michigan, her sister, Effie(Niki) Langley of Loxley, Alabama, her granddaughter, Nancy T. Nelson of Mobile, Alabama, grandson, Pepper Nelson of Robertsdale, Alabama, and granddaughter, Hannah Scott of Mobile, Alabama. Great grandchildren, Bailey Wiggins of Kansas, Christian Wiggins of Silverhill, Austin Nelson of Silverhill, Alabama, brother and sisters-in-law, Robert and Elain Nelson, Irene Nelson, of Fairhope, Alabama, Kathy McNally of Montgomery, Alabama, many nieces, nephews, cousins, her 2 racing buddies, and fur person, Otis. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010, at 3:00 pm, from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope , AL . The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time Interment will be held at Colony Cemetery in Fairhope , AL .
