POINT CLEAR Linda Lightcap Yeend, age 68, a native of Tampa, FL, and a resident of Point Clear, AL, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 25, 2010, at a local health care center after a long illness. Linda was a graduate of Bishop Toolen High School and Loyola University of New Orleans.  She was an accomplished flautist and pianist, at one time playing with the New Orleans Pops, and later with the Symphony Orchestra in Parma, OH.  A very competent Navy wife for twenty-seven years (the hardest job in the Navy), Linda also volunteered over five thousand hours with the Red Cross and the Navy Relief Society.  After moving to Fairhope, Linda was Director, Volunteer Action of Baldwin County.  She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope. Mrs. Yeend was preceded in death by her parents, Dr Clement A. Lightcap and Cecile McHale Lightcap. She is survived by her husband, George W. Yeend, Jr. of Point Clear, five children, David Yeend and his wife Melisa of Fairhope, Rebecca Massingill and her husband Thomas of Mobile, Adam Yeend and his wife Stacey of Montgomery, Stephen Yeend and his wife Katy of Daphne, Amy Yeend of Hattiesburg, MS, nine grandchildren, three brothers, five sisters, numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope Chapel, Sunday, September 26, 2010, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.  Reciting of the rosary will begin at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Monday, September 27, 2010, at 10:00am.
