Stanley Joseph Zaborny, Sr.

LILLIAN, AL Stanley Joseph Zaborny, Sr. passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 in Lillian, AL at the age of 90. Stanley was born April 10, 1920 in Cleveland OH to Adam and Martha Rafal Zaborny. Stanley married Nettie Broz, the love of his life, in 1942. They had three sons, Stanley Joseph, Jr., Joseph Adam and Paul Anthony. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and later worked at Pensacola NAS as a master plumber/pipefitter. Stanley was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, the VFW, founding member of Lillian Fire Dept. He is survived by his loving wife, Nettie Broz Zaborny; two sons, Joseph (Pam) Zaborny, Paul (Debbie) Zaborny, all of Lillian; five grandchildren, Adam, his beloved Theresa, Kenneth, Jennet, Paul, Jr. and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 5-7 pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 10 am from St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lillian. The family will receive friends one hour prior to mass. Interment will follow at Prince of Peace Catholic Cemetery. Stanley was greatly loved and will be missed by all those who knew him. The family would like to acknowledge a special thank you to the staff of Covenant Hospice for their compassion and care given to Stanley.
