FOLEY Abbot Thomas, age 86, a native of Brewton, AL, and a resident of Foley, AL, passed away at his home Monday, May 3, 2010. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 766, Foley, AL, and a charter member of Open Door Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty Thomas of Foley, AL; two daughters, Ann Webb of Silverhill, AL , and Susan Thomas of Fairhope, AL; two sons, Bill Thomas of Foley, AL, and Bryant Thomas of Norlina, NC; four stepsons, Billy Cowart of Foley, AL, Keith Cowart of Hampstead, MD, Al Cowart of Elberta, AL, and David Cowart of Foley, AL; one stepdaughter, Judy Hamburg of Foley, AL; one brother, Joe W. Thomas of Foley, AL ; twenty-one grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 5, 2010, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, AL. Services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, AL. Masonic rights and burial will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Foley, AL, Open Door Baptist Church, Foley, AL, or Community Hospice, Foley, AL.
