Melissa "Missy" Deann Taylor

DAPHNE   Melissa DeAnn "Missy" Taylor passed away Monday, April 19, 2010 at the age of 40. Missy was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County. She received a Master's Degree in English and a Master's Degree in School of Administration, both from University of South Alabama. Missy was a career educator and taught English and Drama at Fairhope High School.   She is survived by her father, Kenneth Larry Taylor of Daphne; mother, Catherine Rebecca Gregg of Columbus, SC; a brother, Scotty Taylor of Guntersville; longtime companion, Gene Barnes of Hattiesburg, MS and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.   A visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from 5-7pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 2 pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Daphne Baptist Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairhope High School or the American Cancer Society.
