FAIRHOPE Samuel Winton Schriner - Jan. 25, 1922 - March 15, 2010 Samuel Winton Schriner of Fairhope, AL, beloved husband, father, and grandfather ended his journey in this life on March 15th. Sam was born in Lodi, WI. He served in the US Army Air Corps as a navigator in WWII. During this time he married Vanna Vannie (predeceased) and their family grew to include three children - Winton Schriner of Roswell, GA; Lyn Pease (Mark) of Seattle, WA; and Lorna Huey (Michael) of Daphne, AL. Sam worked as an advertising executive before retiring and moving to Fairhope. Sam's life was further enriched when he met and married Sarah Thayer who brought three sons to the marriage - Jim Thayer (Karen) of Atlanta, GA, Steve Thayer (Angie) of Augusta, GA, and David Thayer (predeceased). Sam's intelligence, love, and humor will always be remembered by his family. He began and ended his life surrounded by love. Sam considered himself a lucky man but, in truth, it is all who knew Sam who were the lucky ones. Sam is survived by his wife, Sarah Thayer Schriner, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic church on Saturday, March 20th, at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made in his honor to Mercy Medical, P. O.
