Ethel Rigby Gibbs

GIBBS Ethel Rigby Gibbs, age 90, a native of Bratt, FL, former resident of Atmore and a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Mrs. Gibbs is preceded in death by her husband, James Harold "Jake" Gibbs and eight of her nine siblings including her beloved twin sister, Estelle Liles. She is survived by her son: Nick (Kathy) Gibbs of Mandeville, LA; her daughter, Jane (Jeff) Parish of Vernon, FL; four grandchildren: Carrie (Patrick) Klein of Arlington, VA, Beau Gibbs of Huntsville, AL, Maggie Gibbs of Orlando, FL, Jacob Parish of Vernon, FL; one great-grandson: Kellen Klein of Arlington, VA; and a host of other loving relatives. She was a member of and volunteer at Daphne Unithed Methodist Church for over 40 years, where she was active in the Happy Hearts Club. Mrs. Gibbs was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Catherine Place Assisted Living for the compassionate care of their mother for the past twenty-six months. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Susan G.
