Eleanor O'Connor

O’CONNOR   Mrs. Eleanor Johnson O’Connor, age 93, of Daphne, AL, entered into rest March 10, 2010, at Thomas Hospital, Fairhope, AL. She was a native of Glasgow, VA and has resided in Daphne, AL since 1941. Eleanor was a graduate of the University of South Alabama receiving a BA degree in Elementary Education.  She began her teaching career in 1954 and taught fourth grade at the Daphne Junior High School until her retirement in 1979.  She was a member of the Daphne United Methodist Church and Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Society.   Eleanor is survived by her husband, Randolph Preston O’Connor of Daphne, also a native of Glasgow, VA, Son, Dr. Randolph Preston O’Connor, Jr. of Augusta GA, Daughter, Pamela O’Connor Yeager of Selma, AL, Grandchildren, Dr. Randolph Patrick O’Connor of Acworth, GA, Samuel Preston O’Connor of Fairhope, AL, and Samantha Kristen Yeager of Daphne, AL, Great granddaughters, Erin Leigh O’Connor of Atlanta, GA, Kaitlyn Shea O’Connor of Acworth, GA, and Margaret Eleanor O’Connor of Fairhope, AL, as well as her nephew, John P.
