Theresa Guarisco Lynch

DAPHNE    Theresa Guarisco Lynch, age 99, a native and lifelong resident of Daphne, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at a local nursing facility.    Ms. Lynch was an educator for over 40 years in Baldwin County.  She was a graduate of Troy State Teachers College (now Troy University) and a member of several honorary teachers organizations.         She was a life long member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Daphne, AL, where she was an active member of the Ladies Altar Sodality.  As a descendent of one of the founding families, she worked tirelessly for the annual Festa Italiana which focused on the many contributing roles of the Italian families in the Daphne area.     Ms. Lynch was preceded in death by her parents, Agostino and Mary Lazzari Guarisco, sisters, Mary Guarisco, Helen Posey, Anna Allegri, brothers, Joseph, Victor and Julian Guarisco.      She is survived by her daughter, Mary Martha Hohl and husband Robert of Fairhope, grandson, Mason Curran and his wife Leslie of Metairie, LA, granddaughter, Mary Teresa (Terri) Curran of Robertsdale, and great grandson, Sam Curran Hatton, brother, Alfred Guarisco and his wife Joan, sisters, Cecil Wood of Fairhope, Angele (Teeny) Trione of Daphne.     Ms. Lynch is also survived by her extended family whom she helped rear,  Michael (Anna Lou) Allegri, Joann (Wirth) Yarborough , and Stephen Allegri.   The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, AL, Friday, March 5, 2010, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, with the rosary at 7:00pm.     A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with interment in Belforest Catholic Cemetery, Daphne.     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.
