MONROEVILLE, AL Mrs. Katherine Louise Markin age 82 a native of Lillian, AL and a resident of Monroeville, AL passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010. Mrs. Markin was a member of American Legion Unit 33 of Pensacola, FL Mrs. Markin is survived by her daughter, Fay (John) Nelson of Excel, AL; one son, Charles D. Markin, Jr. of Pensacola, FL; Jerry J. (Rena) Gilley of Ocean Springs,MS three grandchildren, Jonathan (Carol) Nelson of Atmore, AL; Jamerson Nelson of Monroeville, AL; and Joseph (Candice) Nelson of Monroeville, AL; four great-grandchildren Johnny Lacy, Jordan Nelson, Jarrett Nelson, and Jacob Nelson; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, AL, with Reverend Greg Wood officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until time of the service. Interment will follow at Gilley Cemetery in Lillian, AL.
