FAIRHOPE, ALJohn “Jackie” Bishop, Sr.,83, a native of Barnwell and a resident of Summerdale, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017.Mr. Bishop served in the Army for 2 years, and was employed with Scott Paper Company for 34 years. He loved his family and Alabama football.Jackie was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Brown Bishop; mother, Elizabeth Bishop Coleman; and daughter, Lynda Sue Bishop.He is survived by the beloved mother of his children, Joyce G. Bishop;son, John S. “Sammy” Bishop, Jr. (Becky);daughter, Donna B. Page (Buddy);grandchildren, Kevin J. Page of Smyrna, GA, Kelly L. Page of Gulf Shores, AL, Carolyn H. Flanary Arkadelphia, AK;great grandchildren, Adrien Hickson, Katelyn Flanary;sisters, Margaret Sharron of Pace, FL, Patricia “Patsy” Post of Montgomery, AL;nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at 11:00am.
