Bessie Katherine Garrick Thompson May 25, 1925 - March 5, 2017   Katherine Thompson, a native of Grove Hill and longtime resident of Fairhope, died peacefully at home in the early hours of Sunday, March 5, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bessie Larimore Garrick; her husband of 61 years Ernest Bonham “Tommy” Thompson; and eleven brothers and sisters – Wynema (A.J.) Wilson, Nettie (Adolphus) Jones, Marguerite (Robert) Pugh, Lloyd (John Dee) Garrick, Felton (Ethel) Garrick, Woodrow (Marjorie) Garrick, William (Carmen) Garrick, Daniel (Armilda) Garrick, Lula (Alton) Schermer, James (Georgia) Garrick, and Martha (Marvin) Robison. Left to honor her life and love are daughter, Rebecca (Michael) Titford; son, Michael Thompson; and her six grandchildren, Zachary (Sarah) Titford, Kathryn Titford, Joshua Titford, Colton Thompson, Payton Thompson, and Nathan Thompson. She will be greatly missed by her surviving sisters-in-law, Marjorie Foulk Garrick and Guelda Smith Thompson; many devoted nieces, nephews, and their children, who knew her as “Aunt Scrap.”   Katherine was also richly blessed in her life with a large, loving family at First Baptist Church in Fairhope, caring neighbors, and close friends. She was ministered to in her last days by Ms. Linda Barnes and Comfort Care Hospice. The funeral service will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church Fairhope. Visitation with family and friends will immediately follow the service in the Fellowship Hall. The family will then accompany Katherine to her final resting place at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers, Katherine personally wished for donations to be made to the “Children’s Building Fund” at First Baptist Church Fairhope (300 S.
