Ida Ruth "Tot" Brantley

DAPHNE, ALABAMA Ida Ruth “Tot” Brantley, age 94, a lifelong resident of Daphne, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017.Ida was a retired registered nurse and had a longtime career at the Jordan Clinic, Bay Medical Clinic and Mercy Medical.  After retirement, she was an active volunteer with Catholic Social Services, Mercy Medical, Red Cross, Daphne Museum, Christ The King Altar Sodality and Retired Nurses Association.She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus & Ida Bell Bertagnolli; husband, Ralph Brantley, 2 grandchildren, Stacie & Jason Brantley, 3 siblings, Bud Bertagnolli, Ted Bertagnolli and Kate Rains.Ida is survived by a daughter Maryanne (Phil) Boyd of Daphne; 2 sons, Pete (Rhonda) Brantley of Daphne,  David (Carol) Brantley of Athens, TN;  a sister, June Pruett of Montrose;  6 grandchildren, Adrienne Dowhan, Sara Boyd, Alison Boyd, Bridget McKinney, Monica Stewart, Trey Brantley;  6 great grandchildren and a host of other loving family.A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Christ The King Catholic Church.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass.A private interment will follow at Belforest Catholic Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ The King Altar Sodality or the Daphne Museum.ARRANGEMENTS BYWOLFE-BAYVIEWFUNERAL HOMES& CREMATORY, INC.27409 U.
