LILLIAN, AL William Frederick “Monk” Manning, age 90, a native of Montgomery and a resident of Lillian, AL., passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017. William retired 22 years ago to Baldwin County for the love of fishing and the water, he was a longtime business owner of M& M Electric Motor Service, lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the American Legion Post 48 and just received his 70 year legion pin. He was also in the Optimist Club of Lillian, and very active in his community. Preceded in death by his 1st wife, Janet Manning, 2nd wife, Sandra Manning and a granddaughter Niki Flowers. Survivors include his children, William F. (Madelyn) Manning Jr. of Honolulu, Hawaii, Margaret Manning (Plato) Rhyne of Alpharetta, GA., Renee (Bill) Flowers of Lapine, AL., grandchildren; Austin Rhyne, Plato Rhyne IV and Tori Flowers, many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Church, Lillian, Monday, February 20, 2017 at 11am. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Montgomery, AL.
