Larry Moye

FOLEY, ALABAMA Michael Larry Moye, age 64, a resident of Foley, AL., passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Larry was a good man, a fair man, he was a strong man. Everyone he met he touched so deeply. He was the strongest man you’ve ever met yet the most tender you ever knew. He loved and valued his family and loved helping people unconditionally. He made a good life for his family and achieved his dream of becoming a cattle farmer. Preceded in death by a son, Michael Larry Moye, II, brothers and sisters; Curly, Etta Mae, Annie Lou, Bernice and two nephews; Chris and Malcom. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Moye of Foley, three daughters; Sharon (Tim) Boutwell, Teri Moye  Tammy Moye all of Foley, a son; Brad Jemison, eight granddaughters; Brooke, Danielle, Katie Bug, Michaela, Marylaine, Erin “BUTTER BEAN”, Brianna, and Morgan, two brothers; Doc Moye of Frisco City, Alton Moye of Bon Secour, AL., one sister; Arlene Middleton of Corbin, KY., numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Memories of PaPa : Brooke- The only grown man to grow a field of sunflowers just to pick them for me. Danielle- He always said “Always work hard for what you want” KatieBug- Papa was my hero, he was one of the strongest people I know and the wisest. Marylaine- He always told me to “come over here and give me Lovings”.Kayla- I love that he could say anything and could always make you smile and laugh. Butterbean- We would always go on “Hooey” (Yahoo’s) run and sing my Little Sunshine on the way there. Bree- When Papa would take me to the farm and fish and feed the animals on Sundays. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home from 5:30pm until 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
