MOBILE, AL Violet Christine Buckner Appling, age 83, a native of Maynardville, TN and a resident of Satsuma, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Roy Appling. Violet is survived by her sisters, Mary Braden of Knooxville, TN, Shirley (Robert) Houser of Disputante, VA; children, Cary (Michelle) Jessee  of Saraland, AL, Angela (Blaine) Logan of Satsuma, AL, Sherry Goodwin of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Nicholas (Stacey,) Jessee of Saraland, AL, Christopher (Bobbi) Jessee of Semmes, AL, Justin Jessee of Saraland, AL, Brett (Kate) Logan and Brad Logan, all of Satsuma, AL, Erica (Buck) Landrum of Virginia Beach, VA, Kim Love of Huntsville, AL, Amanda Goodwin of Dallas, TX; seven great-grandchildren; a host of other friends and relatives.  Memorial services to be held at a later date.
