Doris "Dodie" Simms

THEODORE, ALDoris Faye “Dodie” Simms, age 68, native of St. Louis, MO and resident of Theodore, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Bonnie and a brother, George Strauser. Dodie is survived by her husband, David Simms of Theodore; two daughters, Debra S. (Steve) Lingo and Joanna (Charlie) Ferguson, both of Grand Bay; a son, David Eugene (Chrissy) Simms of Theodore; two step-sons; Harold Gene (Ranee) Simms of Theodore, and Dewayne (Lisa) Simms of Fort Payne, AL;  two sisters, Shirley (James) Robinson of Dauphin Island, Patricia (Gary) Johnson of Frisco City; two brothers, Buford (Marilyn) Strauser and Charles (Rita) Cole, both of Theodore; many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
