FAIRHOPE, ALCasey Dooley was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on July 23, 1961 to Mary Pearl Woods Dooley and Edward Moore Dooley. After graduating from East End Elementary Special Education Program in Middlesboro, Kentucky in 1982 Casey moved to South Alabama. Casey participated in Special Olympics throughout her life. She attended the ARCBC in Alabama and volunteered at many schools in Baldwin County Alabama helping both teachers and students enrich their educational programs. Casey worked at Mary Ann’s Deli in Fairhope, Alabama and The Fairhope Inn making many friends along the way. Casey worked as a teacher’s assistant for over 20 years impacting the lives of students and their families in amazing ways. She loved to rake, walk her dogs, visit with neighbors, swim, go on boat rides, and eat sausage dogs from the Battles Wharf Market. Casey was one of 12 sisters and brothers. She loved them all very much. She also had many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Her life was devoted to her boys, Buck (Michael Ann), Toby (Megan), and Drew along with their families, including, Blakeley, Dawson, Lillian, and Turner. We wish that she and Finn had a chance to meet but perhaps they have. All responded in kind and took very special care of her throughout her life. Tonia O’Daniel, Linda Barnes, Lois Renner, Faye Nettles, and Kaylin Hopkins were very special caregivers that became very special friends to Casey and her family. Casey was full of life, love, and generosity. Everyone who had the privilege of an encounter with Casey has a story to tell. We loved her with all our hearts and miss her. Casey died so peacefully at her home in Fairhope on October 20, 2016 surrounded by her family and friends. Please meet with us to celebrate her life beginning with a Mass at Sacred Heart Church on November 12, 2016 at 10:00 A.M followed by lunch at St. Lawrence Church. Please let anyone that you feel may be interested in sending flowers to instead consider donating in Casey’s name to St. Mary’s Home in Mobile. Alabama. http://www.stmaryshomemobile.org/donate.php Casey had an opportunity to help out at St. Mary’s in recent years and she would always ask what was going on at the St. Mary’s Home building. We would remind her that they were taking care of little kids that needed a lot of help.WOLFE-BAYVIEWFUNERAL HOMES& CREMATORY, INC.19698 GREENO ROADFAIRHOPE, AL 36532(251)990-7775
