Charles Hubert Rice

Charles H. Rice, age 87, longtime resident of Summerdale, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 in Pensacola, FL. Mr. Rice was a 22 year US Air Force veteran. He retired from Baldwin EMC with over 18 years of service. Charles was a former Director of the Baldwin Baptist Camp, member of Baldwin Baptist Builders, Baldwin Disaster Relief, American Red Cross and many other assisting organizations. `He is preceded in death by a son Wayne Rice.He is survived by his wife, Sammie Rice of Summerdale; three daughters, Charlotte R. (Mike Pettis) LeMaster of Summerdale, Bonita R. (Bill) Crist of Cadiz, KY, Liz (Pat) Spears of West Palm Beach, FL; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and numerous other loving relatives and friends. A Celebration of Charles’ Life will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 3:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church, Foley, AL.
