John Edward Brodbeck, Sr.

POINT CLEAR, AL John E. Brodbeck, Sr., age 90, a resident of Point Clear, AL passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016. He was especially proud of his WWII service as a member of the U. S. Navy Armed Guard. Mr. Brodbeck was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Brodbeck; sister, Dorothy B. Pacey; and brother, Arnold M. Brodbeck, Jr. He is survived by his son, John E. Brodbeck, Jr. of Point Clear; daughter, Debbie (David) Ellis of Point Clear; eight grandchildren, Katherine (Junior) Lalisan, Carolyn (Eric) Hudson, Anne Mayre Brodbeck, Abigail (Daniel) Sims, Victoria Brodbeck, Jonathan (Page) Ellis, Matthew (Molly) Ellis, Emily (Joel) Richards; fifteen great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Friday, August 26, 2016, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers, in memory of John E. Brodbeck, Sr., the family suggests that memorials be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 200 South Section Street, Fairhope, AL 36532.
