Barbara Lou Hullihen

FOLEY, ALABAMA Barbara Lou Hullihen, Age 82, a native of Mahoningtown, PA lived in Wampum, PA , and a resident of Foley, AL passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Foley where she participated in a variety of activities, was a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Circle and the Bell Choir. Mrs. Hullihen was a 1952 graduate of Lincoln High School and a 1955 graduate of Jamison Memorial School of Nursing in New Castle, PA. On July 16, 1955 she married the love of her life Charles Grant Hullihen. Her life was dedicated to her family and friends, her hobbies included sewing, quilting and giving to others. During her career as a nurse she had worked at hospitals, a Rehab hospital and as a Hospice Nurse. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Grant Hullihen and a son, Samuel Hullihen. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Divito of Foley, AL; two sons, Dennis C. Hullihen of Robertsdale, AL and Timothy E. (Karen) Hullihen of Courtland, OH; two sisters, Jean Milnes of Ellwood, PA , and Judith Taylor of Milton, FL; one brother, Donald St. Clair of Tallmadge, OH; grandchildren, Elaine Hullihen Hennies, Theresa Hullihen, J.C. Hullihen, Meghan Divito and Keri Hullihen; great grandchildren, Faith Hullihen and Baby Jace Hullihen; other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Mrs. Hullihen’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 12 Noon from the First Presbyterian Church, Foley. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until service time. A private inurnment service will follow.In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Abba Temple Shrine, 7701 Hitt Rd., Mobile, AL. 36695.
